New Commercial Corridor Nearing Completion
The City of Nash, utilizing financing from its Tax Incremental Reinvestment Zone, is constructing a major commercial corridor.The new commercial grade street is scheduled to be completed in April 2015 and will connect Kings Highway and N. Pecan Street. Currently the street is named “Emerald Drive”, but will be renamed following completion. This street will open over 40-acres of land for commercial development. Long-term plans call for the connection of the street with Walton Drive in Texarkana.

City Hires Retail Coach to help Realize Economic Potential
The City of Nash has partnered with The Retail Coach team, trailblazers in the retail recruitment industry who have helped hundreds of cities like Nash achieve their development goals. The Retail Coach will conduct an Area Market Analysis and a Retail Trade Area determination. Additionally, The Retail Coach will create a Land Use/Development Analysis, which will analyze five sites, determine the highest and best use for the property and make recommendations accordingly.
The Retail Coach will compile their findings and use the data to target compatible investors. With incomparable access to national and regional retailers, the firm will target and help attract retailers and developers with the highest likelihood of succeeding in Nash.
